FEM 11 announced

We’re VERY excited to announce UK Feminista’s 2011 national conference, FEM 11, will take place on Saturday 12th November in central London.

FEM 11 comes at a pivotal time. Activism is on the rise and there is a renewed media focus on feminism. The challenge now is to harness the momentum and ensure it translates into real change. Join us at FEM 11 to explore how to make this happen!

Organisations already confirmed to run sessions at FEM 11 are: Rights of Women, Abortion Rights, Southall Black Sisters, Women’s Resource Centre, Platform 51, Centre for Women and Democracy, Women for Refugee Women and the White Ribbon Campaign. Shami Chakrabarti will also be speaking on a ‘Feminist Question Time’ panel.

FEM 11 will be the fifth ‘FEM Conference’ – a series of feminist conferences founded in 2004 by UK Feminista’s director, Kat Banyard.

Join with hundreds of activists, academics, politicians and pundits at FEM 11 to debate the key issues facing women today and how the burgeoning feminist movement can build a feminist future!

Early bird tickets just £5! (offer ends 1 September)
