Cardiff Feminist Network is delighted to present “ACT: Advocate, Challenge, Transform”, a one day conference to celebrate International Women’s Day.
This year’s theme is “Women and men united to end violence against women”. Our aim is to Advocate for an end to violence against women, Challenge our ideas of what constitutes violence and what we can do about it, and Transform what is into what could be: a world free of violence.
We’ll be featuring 12 workshops run by feminist organisations, protest music and information stalls. Our main speaker, feminist activist and researcher Finn Mackay, will be delivering a talk and joining other feminist campaigners for a panel debate.
By bringing together feminists, academics, activists and campaigners from across the UK, we hope our conference can help to spark a grassroots movement to end violence against women.
To book your place, please e-mail us at cardifffeminists@yahoo.co.uk.
A £2 minimum voluntary donation will be collected at the door and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
