Feminism In General (FIG), Daughters Of Eve and Clit Rock have joint forces to present The Vagina Monologues. Based on author Eve Ensler’s ‘Vagina Interviews’ conducted with women from all around the world, this hilariously witty and moving collection of tales give voice to a chorus of lusty, outrageous, poignant, brave and thoroughly human stories.
Along side the original work of Eve Ensler, there will also be new personal and powerful monologues from FGM (female genital mutilation) survivors, providing awareness, about the practice and how we can take action in its prevention.
This event is a fundraiser for Daughters of Eve, FGM survivor group, an amazing space for young people who have been affected by FGM to get support and information to help them deal with their experience.
As well as the play on the night there will also be a stall with t-shirts, sweets, cakes, a raffle and DJs afterward for the purposes of mingling, dancing with a bar open till late.
This will be an educational as well as entertaining and powerful evening so please come join us and raise not just funds but also awareness of FGM and the great work Daughters of Eve are doing.
