Student Competition – Help us to celebrate 15 Years of UK Feminista!

Posted on 04.09.25

This October, UK Feminista marks 15 years of championing a society free from sexism and violence against women and girls – and we want your school or college to be part of the celebration!

We’re inviting students from primary schools, secondary schools and colleges to take part in our Poster Competition. We would like students to design a colourful, impactful and personal poster to creatively express their vision of feminism and equality.

There are two categories:

  • Primary schools – We’re asking primary school children to ‘draw a picture showing equality between girls and boys’.
  • Secondary schools and colleges – We’re asking young people in secondary schools and colleges to design a poster on ‘what feminism means to you’.

This is a chance for your students to express their ideas, challenge gender stereotypes and inspire change through art and design. Posters can be created using any media (paint, collage, pen and ink, digitally) and should be bold, eye-catching and clear.

The winning designs will receive a £50 gift voucher – and will be printed on our 15 Years of UK Feminista merchandise, available for purchase on our website – with all proceeds going directly to support UK Feminista’s work in schools and communities.

Please submit your poster entries by no later than Friday 26th September 2025 either:

By posting the originals to UK Feminista, Co-working space, Peckham Levels, 95A Rye Lane, London, SE15 4ST or by emailing a photo or scanned image to education@ukfeminsta.org.uk.

Please note, any competition entries posted to us will not be returned. If emailing a scanned image or photo of your entries, please ensure photos are a high resolution, good quality and in JPEG or PDF format. Please ensure all entries are clearly labelled with the full name of the designer, the school or college the student attends and the relevant competition category.

We hope you enjoy this chance to get creative and to join us in celebrating 15 years of activism for a more equal future – together.
