Live teacher training

Book training for school and college staff and trainee teachers on tackling sexism and sexual harassment.

UK Feminista supports schools and colleges to take a whole school approach to tackling sexism – including sexual harassment, sexist language and gender stereotyping. We offer in-house Continuing Professional Development training to equip school and college staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence to tackle sexism. Our training is also available for Initial Teacher Training providers.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore practical activities that can be used to promote equality in the classroom, as well as strategies and tools for implementing a whole school approach to tackling sexism and sexual harassment.

If you are an individual teacher or staff member who would like to attend an open live training session, you can view and book onto an upcoming training event via our Eventbrite page.

Training format

UK Feminista’s standard live in-house training sessions run for 1.5 hours and can be delivered either in-person (on the school or college premises) or online (via Microsoft Teams). Both formats are designed to maximise engagement, ensuring staff gain practical knowledge and confidence.

Online Training

Our interactive online sessions can be delivered to any number of staff within a single school or college.

In-person Training

Our in‑person sessions are designed to ensure meaningful engagement and discussion, so can accommodate up to 50 staff members within a single school or college. Our in-person training package also includes:

  • A complimentary repeat 1.5‑hour session on the same day, allowing up to 50 additional staff members to attend.
  • One hour of tailored on‑site consultancy, such as support with developing a Whole School Approach Action Plan.

For more information and to book a training session, or to discuss training options for Multi-Academy Trusts and local authorities, please email education@ukfeminista.org.uk

“A timely and informative session that led to valuable and challenging discussion both on the day itself and beyond. Resources were used well to support the training which was well suited to meet the particular needs in our school’s context. I would recommend this thought provoking INSET to all teachers.”
